Canada Dream
Life has no specific standard. Life has its own style, which is the way how you live, including language,food, dressing, entertainment, tradition, etc. That's how it compose of the culture. Different country, different race has its own culture. Canada is western culture, china is asian culture. Both base on totally different life style. Each life style aims happiness .
Immigranting means moving out of your own country to another country. Obviously, it will be very hard from starting. Especially, for us - chinese, we have to not only fly cross the pacific ocean from geographical point but only cross into another culture - how you adapt to this huge new environment for chinese.
Most chinese feel upset since the first nite in canada. Why? because you lost your own life style , your own culture, which you probably live on 30 or even 40 years. On the other point, life like a tree, built on its root. Your life used to live on chinese tree root. Once you landed here, your life root eradicated by millions miles flying. The only thing left on your life tree is dream - Big Canada Dream . In this dream you wish air is clean, no pollution
big salary, good pension, free medical system. But all the above is just a dream, it's your idealized canada life to chinese.
However, for person whose teenage period is in china, he will have a hardship to let the dream perfectly. He doesen't involv this western culture 100%.He will lost a lot to get a barely little bit . Would you want to be a person, put your hope on your son? the age like you only 40 years old? Would you want to be a person, who lost watermelon and achieve sesame in his whole life. That's foolish!!!
If you are doing well in china, why you immgrant to another country, which you feel like a baby in this society? Life is not long , only a few decades. Think about it !!!
If you are not doing well in china, or if you are pursuing western life style, you should immigrant Canada. But you have to really pay efforts to change yourself. Even at first, forget chinese in order to break through language obstales. How much you will pay how much you will get, like making deal in business. Probably it will go a long " battlefield" to get this deal. Does it worth to you ?
All in all, no body can really make criticals to judge that how much worth to come immgranting. Depending on how much you have happiness in you life already, how much happiness you still are looking forward to as well as what kind of life style you are pursuing. |
