(1) also-ran:

( a failure or a loser, normally for election )

As Mr. A is a poor speaker, I think he will be an also-ran in the debate.

Whatever Mr. B competes, he ends up as an also-ran.

Concerning a pay-raise, Mr. Wang feels he is one of the many also-rans.

(2) armchair

quarterback:

( a football fan who thinks he/she knows the best )

例如:

Mr. K is just the armchair quarterback ; in fact he has never actually played the game.

To be honest with you, I don't need an armchair quarterback for this plan.

( one who criticizes something after it has happened )

例如:

Mr. C played the Monday-morning quarterback when the plan did not work.

A Monday-morning quarterback tends to say, "I told you so."

(3) bad blood:

( being hostile or angry )

There should not be so much bad blood between Taiwan and China.

The problem will not be solved as long as there is bad blood between two sides.

Life is too short; we ( had ) better not have any bad blood among different races.

(4) all wet:

( all wrong or totally mistaken )

(9 ) Big Brother:
( a government or an organization that controls or spies on people )

How to control your people without being Big Brother is the problem.

    I am coming down.

2. 我现在得走了,就說  I have to go.或  I get to go.
