类型 VI   假设类问题    Would you prefer to live in a hot place or cold place?

类似问题：

Would you like to change your name?
Would you like to move to another city?

Solution:   用 虚拟语气回答。

举例说明 1    eg.    Would you prefer to live in a hot place or cold place?

If I had a choice, I would prefer to live in a hot place. I mean, I am not a big fan of cold places,
because I cannot stand wearing a lot clothes. But the truth is I’m living in a freezing city right now,

so I usually just hibernate （冬眠） at home in winter.


举例说明 2    eg.  Would you ever buy designer/luxury clothes?

To be honest, if I had a lot of money to spend, I would buy designer clothes, because I
think they are very trendy and made of good materials. But the truth is, I don’t have a
lot of disposable income （可支配收入） to spend on design labels.

虚拟语气用法：

Tips： 虚拟语气 和 真实条件句 都由 if 引导。

          不同点在于， 真实条件句为现实。而虚拟语气一般和现实相反，且实现的可能性小。

例如，1. If you keep a balanced diet, you will become healthy .  (真实)

2. If I were rich, I would travel around the world. (虚拟)

3. If I were a bird, I would fly up high in the sky.  (虚拟)

第2、3句都和 现在的事实 相反，所以，if + 过去时 （be 都变成were，不分单复数），而主句用 would + 动词原形。

如果需要表达  “跟过去的事实相反”，此时， If + had done， 主句 用 would have done

例如， 4. If I had followed your advice,  I would have not made such a serious mistake.

5.  If I had not moved to Canada, I would have never met my girlfriend.
