Hi, guys, if you’re working at U.S. now. For sure you have lots to say or lots need advise or help—visa, travel, U.S. tax, job, salary, mortgage, technical questions, there’re lots of challenge but there’re also lots of opportunity. Why don’t we have a group and share all the information, feeling, etc?

Maria, would you please make a U.S. challenger group and add the people who would like to join the group?

As the first people suggest this, I would like to introduce myself:

David Zhang, working at Bloomington, IL as an IBM consultant now (as IBMer, I’m not IBM employee). Bloomington is near Chicago. I travel every week (Monday go to U. S., Thursday come back to Toronto). I usually take American airlines and United airlines. If you know a better solution for travelling from Toronto to Bloomington, IL, I would like to know. I’m taking the TN visa now. Don’t know how much need to pay to Canadian CRA at the end of year yet. I join the membership for American Airlines, United Airlines, and Hilton hotel. Hopefully I’ll get free vacation after I accumulate all the points (^_^).

I rent a car from Hertz every week according to IBM standard. If you rent the car yourself through Hertz website, and you’re Gold #1 member, you can get “air mile”, if you give them your United “air mile”, you can double your points since United Airlines and Hertz are partner.

Bloomington is a safe small town, people are nice but it is too conservative and boring…
