A New Jersey police officer told a woman that he could handle her legal troubles "in an adult manner" that would spare her from arrest, according to a lawsuit.

Shakera Brown claims Bridgeton Police officer Braheme Days forced her to have sex on multiple occasions to avoid an arrest for alleged shoplifting, according to the Daily Journal.

The suit filed February 26 in federal court in Camden, New Jersey said Brown was approached by Days on January 20, 2014 outside of a Rite Aid pharmacy. He told her he was looking for a shoplifter and that she fit the description of the suspect.

Reid then stepped out of his car with his hands raised. The officers opened fire, killing Reid.
