The first line of emergency management for anaphylaxis (Allergic reaction) is always epinephrine (Epipen). Following treatment for anaphylaxis, the patient must stay within close proximity to a hospital or where they can call 911 for the next 48 hours because the second phase usually occurs after 1 to 8 hours, but can occur up to 38 hours after the initial reaction phase.
It's not recommended to use Ventolin or Benadyl for the symptoms.
