Mr. Bagher Moazen

Guitarist and composer Bagher Moazen is widely recognized as one of the most prestigious musicians.

In 1970, he received a golden medal for his artistic achievement throughout Iran.

His teachers were Abdulla Mofakhar, John During, Joseph Urshalmi, Timothy Walker and John W. Duarte.

Mr. Moazen has done recitals at the Wigmore Hall, London and was interviewed by the BBC World Service where he talked about his compositions on guitar.

In Toronto, Ontario, he also has performed at the St. Lawrence Centre. He also performed for Toronto the Conservatory of Music in May, 1989 and for Guitar Society of Toronto at the of top the senator in May 1993.

In December, 2001, Mr. Moazen gave 4 huge guitar recitals in Tehran in which all proceeds went to Behnam Dahesh Pour Charity Group, a charity organization for cancer.

He is also the first guitar teacher of the International Academy of Music in Iran.

The well-known Canadian composer Alan Torok dedicated his Sonata # 5 to Mr. Moazen. Iranian composer Shahin Tarhat and Mehran Ruhani have also dedicated pieces to him.
