托福机经精选一(弗兰克语言教室咨询:416-838-6696)
I am a general gter. I began with this sweating jouney last summer and ended it this May. What I want to say first is: if you are urged to win, you will win. As to gre, I spent 3 months over to crack it, while TOEFL took me only one month. I only want to say something about TOEFL here because I had taken twice. The first time is 4 years ago when curiosity sprang me along the way.I got only a little over 600 that time. This time , over 670.What has made the difference?
1. vocabulary.
To get perfect score in reading, I suggest you to bear in mind those gre vocabulary. If you are to study abroad, take gre before toefl, that is the best way to encourage you to memorize so many words in so short a period of time. Vocabulary is also important to listening. My listening capability has not
enhanced so much as the score shows because I still cannot understand much about the news on VOA. Little time have I spent on English listening during the last 4 years, but I really find it easy from the very first day I began to prepare for it. Vocabulary is the most important thing.
2.listen to the tapes critically over and over again
there is little need for you to seek any other stuff for listening if you have little trouble in CET-4 listening comprehension. What you need is learn to find out the curial words--points to be tested most frequently. Listen to the tape critically. To keep asking you questions about the passage or long dialogue. If you can spend several days to crack short passages or long stories and practice critical listening all the time, you will see a
naive Esther always tests us on the same points!! My feeling is when I listen to the tape; I am attracted by the content but not trapped in it. I am still thinking and memorizing important messages and keep asking myself questions such as whom? When? Where? What? Why?who is she?to whom?what is its
strange character?what's the difference?...If you find yourself entangled by details, remember to find out the main idea of the passage first when you practice. tips for listening:
There are only two things in listening: details and their logic
relationship.Main idea emerge when you can find these two things out clearly and fully.Of course if you can catch something about the main idea at first,it will be helpful. But remember never stop suspecting your former judgement until the last word. When the passage is not complete, your understanding cannot be complete. Most sentences are useful, some to give you messages to answer the questions, others to help you understand the whole thing(ETS is usually merciful),still others to mislead you to wrong answers.questions are asked in turn just as the thing happened in the passage. If you find the answer to your fourth question(question about some
detail) at the beginning of the passage, you are wrong.
in short,I have said something about toefl, especially listeningThree points important:词汇,分类集中突破和边听边思!
Good Luck to All!! |
