what doesn't make sense ???? if you dont have a heater, the water is still in the low 70s , in June ....too cold for me!!!! with a heater I can swim from may to Oct. I've bought water before and it's almost $200 a truck load . this is need when you open the pool each year . So what exactly does not make sense?

Some ideas from personal experience.

Open or close pool: $300 to $400 each time by a company, DIY $20 - 50 each time (if you already have all the equipments, such as air compressor to remove water from the pipe) (take a full day to open or close the pool)
Chemical treatment - $200 to  $300 a year
Hydro - $150 - $250 a year
Gas for heat  - $200 + (depends how often and how warm )

Clean/maintain the pool one or twice a week (totally 2 - 3 hours a week)

make sure it's a new or newer pool, otherwise, it's costly to replace pool equipments and pool liner.

Go to a pool store and look around and find out the prices and get some ideas. Talk to some customers in the pool store to find out what they think about having a pool.

If you don't have it, definitely one less thing to worry about. If you have it, try to enjoy it as much as you can.

    我是看了套带游泳池的房子，就是不知道如何保养是不是太麻烦，就没敢考虑，但是家人还是有点惦记这套房子。所以才上来问问，谢谢楼上各位了，以以上各位的经验看，我估计不会考虑带泳池的房子了。不过，每泳池也非常欢迎大家来家做客，不耽误咱们畅谈人生哈。嘿嘿。

我現在的周日每天都去游泳一次，游了以後覺得很舒服。

只是沒有自己的後院游泳池，每天都得開車出外。

但在多倫多一年四季都能游泳，我也是非常滿足了。
