It's unlikely you will get anything back.
I have a story. When I got my windshield chips fixed, my insurance agent said to me that they would pay for the repairs and I submitted the bill accordingly. I waited for 3 months, and nothing happened. I went to the agent's office to see if they got the bill. Unfortunately, the check they sent was cashed out already two months ago, that check bears my name. I asked them to check the address where they sent the check, then discovered a mistake they made. It was sent to Unit 60, and mine is 65 in the same townhouse area. The insurance agent said sorry and did nothing more for me although my address on the company's system is correct. I lost $85+tax.
The second story was with my winter tire rebate money. I sent my receipt and the from to Bridgestone to get $70 rebate. Waited for almost a year, nothing happened. Called the Bridgestone service agent, and it's said $70 dollar gift card was sent out a week after the my mail's received. After checking the address, it was found that again, it's sent to the unit 60. This time, however, my address on their system was unit 60, and they made mistake. Bridgestone is very nice and sent me a $70 card again. I am happy with Bridgestone, and buy their tires again when I need.
I know who lives in the Unit 60, what can I do. I found other people's mails(different unit number) in my box all the time. You cannot trust postmen. What can you do? |
