你想让中国政府对人民好，像民主国家那样，如加拿大，美国，英国，法国，台湾等，恐怕日头得从西北出来。

We need 10 years VISA same like U.S now. not 永久居留 or Q1 VISA that decide by local policers in China. My friend got a Q1 VISA last year then she didn't get any more days in China just one month given by 领事馆 here, so she paied 1500 yuan as fine for over stay at beijing custom. Why it's so difficuty for chinese embassy to make things better. hope to give a anwser ASAP.

在中国申请居住许可，不受Q1签证限制，大家尽管去申请。原因是出入境管理局和驻外领馆不是一个系统，也和签证中心没有关系，2年期的800人民币，60岁以上的可以3年。第一次需要体检，大概700人民币不到。这个只适合需要多次往返中国的海外中国人。对偶尔回去或一年回去一次的都意义不大。

申请居住许可时间比较长，因为需要时间办派出所证明，体检，递交申请批复，Q1签只给30天，是根本不够的，这个国内了解的，所以任何签证均可申请。

国内有户口和身份证的千万不要去申请，切记。
