I agree with you. Invading Iraq is the biggest mistake made by the US in modern history. It undermined international law and seriously damaged US reputation and credibility.
But the question is: just because US made this mistake, does it give all other countries the right to invade each other at will? Remember there is a key difference here, the US never intended to keep Irap as its colony permanently and have almost completed a total troop withdrawl from Iraq now. But Russians never intend to leave, once they grab your territory, it will never be given back to you. Don't forget the large chunk of Chinese territories that were taken by Russia, China can never dream to take any of them back.
