US custom officers

depends, some are nice some are not, and i really understood the author's situation, and on the other hand, Candian custom officers are much nicer.  where were you when this happened? i was a bit confused by reading your words.

It happens.

Last year, when my husband (a local Canadian)and I went down to the States. The black officer at the border was asking me a question, my husband answered for me. This officer was getting angry and cut him off abruptly, "I was asking her, not you." Then they exchanged some words and he was giving us a hard time.

Finally, my husband lodged a formal complaint for this.

So it could happen to anyone.

agree, like visa application, it is pretty individual thing for the officers. so, in other words, they could refuse you or reject you just by their first glance.  the officers are common persons too. it was quite understandable about the bad experience in the borders......zhao, yan, a chinese citizen, was hit by the officer in the buffalo US custom.....
