政府才不傻呢,他们心里很明白:要严格执法容易,可那样多伦多可以瞬间有十几万户因为住不起公寓而流落街头。你让政府补贴他们去住千把块一个月的公寓? 那还不是纳税人从兜里再掏钱嘛,谁愿意掏?

这家住了12户也太过分,估计邻里关系也不好,所以被人反复举报,最后政府不得不采取措施了。

说得对,这种事从来都是民不举,官不究。但严格执法的话,不是房客的无房可住的问题,而是不知有多少屋主因交不起房贷而卖房或被银行拍卖的问题。因此,房东与房客是互相帮助的关系。
