回复 Dilbert
I already stated very clearly in previouse note that in Canada, the general rules for returns and how the security gaurds and policy should act. So it is very clear that there were seriouse discramination in this case. I think the reason she was removed from the mall was irrelevant to the nature of the dispute she was having with the store. She was harassing the people there. (That was my understand from her side of story only.)
I am not only worry about Ms. Xia's daughter, I also worry about all Chiense kids in Canada, inlcude my own. If none of we Chinese stand up to protect our own interst and right, then our own grandchildren, great grandchildren will still watch their parents be taken by the cops for nothing. I agree.
Please take a minute think about all the discrimination you and your family had since you came to Canada. You can't say that you have been discraminated, but all your country man/woman deserve such treatment. If you say it never happened to you or your family, then please go to read my previouse note again. Of course discrimination exists there and everywhere. But we should 1) don't confuse it with non-discrimination issues. I don't think the other drivers only jump into your parking spot because they saw you were Chinese. Maybe you were just lucky to meet some jackasses. 2) when we see real discrimination, give them a hateful fist is NOT the answer. It might just prove their discrimination toward you were actually justified. I think there are enough laws in Canada that we can use smartly to retain our dignity and respect.
