I will disagree that DON Cherry is one of the 10 best Canadians ; This self proclaimed man only knows one thing in life and that would be HOCKEY . This man promoted violence in HOCKEY; he encouraged fighting in hockey; and promoted that young hockey players should body check harder and if nessacarry fight. FIGHTING and HARD BODY checking is now illegal in HOCKEY at the minor leagues . Some day it will become LAW, in the over inflated National Hockey League. The sooner the better. The game of Hockey is a skill game; Cherry did not promote skill of the game ; he promoted the rough and violent part of the game. This man is a over paid Bozo for the CBC. His remarks about the game have no sincere purpose. Hockey players are not great Canadians most have done nothing to promote Canada. They only know hockey. Hockey is not our National Sport, Lacrosse is the national sport of Canada. The sport was first played by the native Indians


The test you talk about is for new Canadians and really is distorted illusion of great Canadians. Im a Born and rasied Canadian have been here 62 years . What you see of Canada now is far from the real Canada that the government would want you to believe.
