找工作遭遇无间道:折腾一个月回到原点

I am surprised that most of the comments missed the point. Director C has an obligation to the company to report that a key resource is planning to leave. The company will have to act accordingly. This happens very often in hi-tech companies. The problem with the author of this article is that he should not ask Director C to be his reference. Also, do not ask other people for reference before being requested by the new company you are applying to.
I had this experience long time ago. I asked an AVP who used to be my boss to be my reference and he did a very good reference for me. However, he came to me the next day and told me that he will inform my direct report that I am trying to leave the company. He told me that he has a duty to the company to take action. He said that he will allow one day for me to do it myself. He was and still is a good friend of mine, |
