当我们是新移民的时候,哪来这么多烦恼,随便有份十几块的工作就很高兴了。当我们赚的钱多了的时候,一切都变得这么岌岌可危,小心翼翼,思前想后。

唉,人哪,真的是很渺小,很无助,关键是互相之间还在倾轧!!

有份几十块的工作时, 一切都可能变得这么小心翼翼,思前想后. 连谁当总理/省长/市长都跟你的收入有关了. 所以说穷乐呵是有道理的.

I am surprised that most of the comments missed the point. Director C has an obligation to the company to report that a key resource is planning to leave. The company will have to act accordingly. This happens very often in hi-tech companies. The problem with the author of this article is that he should not ask Director C to be his reference. Also, do not ask other people for reference before being requested by the new company you are applying to.

I had this experience long time ago. I asked an AVP who used to be my boss to be my reference and he did a very good reference for me. However, he came to me the next day and told me that he will inform my direct report that I am trying to leave the company. He told me that he has a duty to the company to take action. He said that he will allow one day for me to do it myself. He was and still is a good friend of mine,
