参加这种比赛只是学生和家长的意愿，并非代表学校和教育局。这种比赛只是个人兴趣爱好的体现，对学生升学并无太大帮助。让教育局网开一面，提供特殊对待是不合理的。

不同学校的日常请假政策不太一样，但是YRDSB的期末考试政策一直是一致的， Final examinations will NOT be rescheduled to accommodate alternate activities which conflict with the timing of exams (i.e. vacations, employment commitments, appointments, etc.)

只有医疗相关可以，而且规定也非常严格，If you miss an examination due to illness, you must present a medical note to the Vice-Principal by 9:00a.m. on the day immediately following the exam. The medical note must clearly indicate that you were examined on that day of the exam by a doctor who found you not well enough to write your final exam. Students who do not present a valid medical note will receive a mark of zero (0) on the exam.
