It is a democratic country so that all have the right to express their own opinion. I am supportive to this demonstration in principle. You guys missed a very important point though - The government's letter to indicate the waiting period should be considered a formal document. It may not be treated as a "contract", but the government broke its own word is really a bad thing, in a sense similar to breaking a contract. If we are late to pay our income tax, we will be penalized by the government. Now the government is late in delivering its services, the government should/must be penalized. Get it? Should sue the government, no mercy!
Another point, however, since this is a democratic country, so you have your right to demonstrate and others have their right not to demonstrate. Mr. Zhao obviously did not realize this and pointed his figures to other media, community groups and Chinese Canadians - That is not nice at all.
Final point - The Chinese Community traditionally supported the Liberal, not what did it do for the Chinese? Time to think about this type of issues too.
Good luck with your campaign. |
