My daughter did more works in China when she was 5 yrs old. Anyway she did not know any chinese words when she was in Beijing's best kids garden until 4 yrs old.  I do not believe parents let 9 months baby throw diaper in US. It is hard believe the author with experience living in US. So bias!!!!!!!

I tried to teach my young daughter who is 14 to do chore. She refused to do. I am going to send her to university dorm once she reaches 18 year old. I believe that she has to do at that time. My old daughter also refused to do any chore when she was a teen. Right now, she can take care herself because she live outside. Last Thanksgiving, she helped to clean her friend house when she lived with her friend's family during the holiday season.

Once children grow up, don't keep them at home. Kick them out!
