这种学院能教啥,加拿大需要啥,层次低的工作。所以从上到下(政府到学校),这种大规模移民留学就是捞钱而已 ...
The Liberals are bringing in 1.3 million new immigrants into this country in under 3 years. This is not about 'race for global talent' they are trying to keep the housing market propped up and wages depressed for their corporate overlords by giving PRs away to Subway supervisors. If you don't get into the housing market before all these people do, you are going to be SOL for ever being able to own a home in this country.
This is from the Chief economists at two of Canada's major banks:
High levels of immigration and not enough housing has created a supply crisis in Canada: Chief Economist at Scotiabank
Canadian wage growth lagging U.S. due to immigration levels: CIBC
For the love of all that is holy bringing in 1.3 million new immigrants into this country in under 3 years is not sustainable when we have a housing and rental crisis. That's the population of Calgary, we are not creating new cities in this country to be able to house these people.
Immigration Canada does not have the resourcing to properly vet and process 1.3 million people. People think we are getting only high skilled workers but that is the furthest from the truth. There is rampant immigration fraud going, especially in the International Student Program. This puts heavy downward pressure on low end wages that low income Canadians are counting on. Not to mention upward pressure on an already unaffordable housing market.
We should bring our immigration numbers into line with what Joe Biden is doing in the US. The US will be taking in 500K new immigrants this year, but they have 10x our population. Adjusted for Canada's population we should then be taking in 50K this year not 430K. It's not like the US economy is collapsing due to these numbers, like some would make you believe would happen here if we did that. BTW I would love to see the reaction of Americans if Biden got on camera and announced he was going to increase immigration numbers to bring in 10.3 million immigrants into the country in under 3 years (as adjusted to Canada's policy).
Also the Liberals immigration program is like a vote kick back scheme for them to lock in future voters. They purposely turn a blind eye to the rampant immigration fraud that is going on with immigration programs like in the International Student Program. They then let the students get to backdoor their way into PR (making immigrants doing things the legit way scratch their heads as to how someone who works as a supervisor at a Subway got PR before them), and then to citizenship. These cheats will be forever grateful to the Liberals for allowing this and vote accordingly.
There are literally international students driving around with decals on their car blessing Trudeau for allowing them to come here: https://i.imgur.com/ocxyUsH.jpg
Just look at Bramptons voting pattern from the last election where a lot of these 2yr Sheridan college diploma students settled:

There is so much fraud going it's not even funny:

The overwhelming majority of Chinese students here are enrolled at Canadian universities (83 per cent). The vast majority of Indian students, meanwhile, are registered at colleges (73 per cent).
Students and recruitment businesses interviewed by The Globe say this is because most Indian students want to come to Canada to live rather than learn, and registering in a college program offers a cheaper and faster path to settling here (after landing in Canada on a student visa, they can get a postgraduate work permit and start logging the employment hours necessary to apply for permanent residency and, down the road, Canadian citizenship).

A recent StatsCan analysis could not find indications that 30.5 per cent of people in the country on post-secondary study permits in 2015 were signed up that year at a Canadian college or university.
Immigration Department report that revealed 25 per cent of would-be foreign students in Canada in 2018 were likely not complying with the conditions of their visa
Compared to Britain, the U.S. and Australia, Canada is known for having a poor record of tracking study-visa holders once they’re in the country.
Toronto Star reported in November that many would-be international students are routinely fail to pursue their studies, instead looking for work and applying for permanent residency.
The Globe and Mail also reported last month that many trucking companies, primarily in Surrey, are taking large illegal cash payments from foreign students in exchange for truck-driver jobs that might help them qualify for permanent residency.
Immigration department officials have acknowledged a tenth of all study-visa applications are fraudulent, often because they use faked acceptance letters from Canadian institutions.
"Some work full-time in contravention of the terms of their study permit, which limits them to working no more than 20 hours a week when school is in session, plus full-time during scheduled school vacations." Some, Hyman said, obtain work "off the books for cash."
Canada’s more than 650 institutes of higher education are allowed to follow the honour system in informing authorities about study-visa infractions. And even though Canadian schools have been required since 2016 to report on their total international-student enrolment, 68 schools failed to do even that last year .

Some Indo-Canadian business owners, Purewal said, collude with the agents to charge Indian students $20,000 to $50,000 for a false labour-market assessment, which claims a foreign national is needed for a job because Canadians cannot be found.
Vancouver immigration lawyer Sam Hyman says there is a “rampant” underground economy devoted to creating false labour-market assessments for international students in Canada.

Immigration consultants often arrange the illicit deals, which frequently result in Canadian business owners being paid to fabricate non-existent jobs.
The employers, for their part, devise fraudulent pay stubs so the foreign nationals can "prove" to immigration officials they have needed skills to go to the front of the queue to become a permanent resident of Canada.
In one redacted letter obtained under an access to information request, a Canadian provided details about how her colleague was "getting her cheques and returning cash money to her employer just to show fake employment."
"My research uncovers allegations of fake jobs, examples of fake jobs, and complaints by visa officers about fake jobs. It shows that some people who can’t qualify under our rules will pay big money to get their visa illicitly."
"I get this on a regular basis. I’m offered fees from $10,000 to $50,000, plus they will pay their own salaries. So I could bring employees here and have them work for free" said the businessman, who asked to not be identified.
Many job descriptions, which are either bogus or exaggerated to make them seem more "skilled"
The 2010 evaluation of Canada’s skilled worker program concluded: "Fraud is commonly associated with job offers from non-existent employers, fictitious positions incompatible with the type of business operations, offers of convenience from friends or family members, and genuine offers with inflated job descriptions." |
