Skill Requirements:  
  Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: English, Chinese, Mandarin, Cantonese

Type of Guide: Escorted group travel guide, Escorted individual travel guide, Step-on local guide, Meet and greet local guide, On-site local guide

Type of Tours: Bus tours
Number of Tours Guided: 1 - 4

Tours Focus: Historical sites, Sightseeing, Theme parks
Geographical Areas of Specialization: Canada, United States
Specific Skills: Confirm transportation and accommodation reservations, Collect administration or entrance fees, Co-ordinate recreation activities, Describe points of interest, Resolve itinerary and other problems, Develop and deliver commentaries, Utilize microphones or other communication devices, Attend to customers' special needs, Attend to international border crossings, Coordinate activities with local tour guides or leaders of performance groups, Provide information on tipping customs, currency exchange rates, metric conversion and other details

Additional Skills: Drive sightseeing or tour vehicle

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Continuous learning

Other Information: - 2-3 working experience an asset - mature, pleasant, outgoing, presentable - Knowledge of Tourism Industry an asset -Must be able to converse fluently in English, Mandarin or Cantonese
