I have a mortgage broker to represent me to apply for mortgage.  She is so irresponsible and uncablable to do the work well. She always promise well, but cannot communicate well with the bank or financial institute. So, I fired her and contact the bank by myself. The bank is more responsible and responde quick since the employee in bank worried if he doesn't treat client well and client might complain to his boss. But the broker usually work on their own. Even client does not like his service, client has no place to complain. I learned my lesson. Better contact bank directly.
