Feedback from these consultations will help shape decisions in the following areas:
1. Improving student performance in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)
2. Preparing students with needed job skills, such as skilled trades and coding
3. Improving provincial standardized testing
Standardized testing is like annual medical exam. It ensures many problems can be found in time before it is too late. Without Standardized testing, parents, governments, future employers, universities & colleges, and everyone else cannot know how primary and secondary school students perform until they graduate from secondary schools. At that point, it would be too late to fix the problem for many students who did not learn well in primary and secondary schools. Time cannot go back. Many of these students would have to suffer for their whole life. It would be disaster for the society if there were to be no Standardized testing.
All other countries, such us European, USA, Japan, China, Singopre, etc. have mandatory Standardized testing.
The results of Standardized testing shall be a benchmark for teachers' salary or bonus. So that teachers will have the motivation to improve their teaching and benefit our next generations, students.
4. Ensuring students graduate with important life skills, including financial literacy
Primary and secondary school students shall be taught the real life---the balance of income and expense(including donation), the responbilit (such as to earn income, to pay mortgage/rent, to pay utilities and other bills, etc.), what you can do and cannot do, etc. Utopian is not practical. Neither regular person nor government have unlimited resouces.
Financial Basic courses is very important to primary and secondary school students. Financial Basic courses shall start at Grade 4 or age 9. At this age, students already have the basic math knowledge to learn financial knowledge. Students will learn and establish the idea of budget, investment, financial risk, etc. These knowledge will benefit them for whole life and help them succeed financially in the future. The will also benefit the government---financially successful residents means they can and pay more tax.
5. Managing the use of technology in classrooms, such as cell phones
Cellphone shall be bannd in schools.
6. Building a new age-appropriate Health and Physical Education curriculum that includes subjects like mental health, sexual health education and the legalization of cannabis
The following are What must be Deleted or Changed in Kathleen Wynne’s sex ed curriculum
1. DOWNPLAYING THE SERIOUSNESS OF HIV INFECTION
2. MAKE A PERSONAL PLAN ABOUT YOUR SEXUAL ACTIVITY
3. SEXUAL PLEASURE
4. ROMANTIC DATING
5. GENDER IDENTITY THEORY
6. HOMOSEXUALITY
7. ANAL SEX
8. MASTURBATION
9. KEEP A CONDOM WITH YOU
10. GENITALIA & SEXUAL CONSENT
The following are What are Lacking In The Kathleen Wynne sex ed Curriculum and Should Be Addressed By PC New Sex Ed
1. MEDICAL RISKS OF ANAL SEX
2. GIVE STUDENTS MORE HONEST, SCIENCE-BASED PRESENTATION OF HIV/AIDS
3. CONDEMN SEXTING UNEQUIVOCALLY
4. CONDEMN PORNOGRAPHY UNEQUIVOCALLY
5. LOVE AND MARRIAGE
6. ABSTINENCE / CHASTITY
• the government must stop teaching “liberal ideology” in the classroom including the controversial and unscientific gender identity theory
• the Minister of Education must issue a directive to all schools that advance notification be given to parents as to when these sex-ed lessons will be taught, and that parents will always have an opt-out
• the Wynne sex-ed is age-inappropriate and disrespected parents as the first educators of their children
7. Developing the first-ever Parents’ Bill of Rights
(1)
Under current system, teachers do NOT have any motivation to improve their quality of teaching. The biggest reason is that Teachers' union is too strong.
But "School voucher" system can resolve this problem. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_voucher . A school voucher is a certificate of government funding for a student at a school chosen by the student or the student's parents. So that parents&students can choose to go to another school (such as private school) for better education with the School voucher funding. Then the number of public schools’ students will decrease and the number of public schools’ teachers will have to decrease, too. As a result, Teachers' union will be weakened. Teachers' union will have to encourage teachers to improve their teaching quality to keep students from leaving to private schools. Ontario shall introduce and include "School voucher" system in the Parents’ Bill of Rights.
(2)
Parents's rights have been infridged a lot by leftists in the past. Parents’ Bill of Rights is a MUST.
Parents shall be allowed to opt out their kids, if certain courses contridicts to their religion or culture. This is an example. Hamilton dad loses fight to pull kids from school over “false teachings” https://www.thespec.com/news-story/6988979-hamilton-dad-loses-fight-to-pull-kids-from-school-over-false-teachings-/
(3)
1. recognition that parents are the first and primary educators of their children
2. a recognition of the right of parental notification and consent for all health-related services available to their minor children
3. a guarantee that parents will receive full and ample notice of all classes that instruct their children on “sex-ed” matters; an explicit acknowledgement of the right of parents to an “opt-out” for their children from such classes;
