The CPP is a big scam.  If it has no problem, why the government need to clawback the payment if your retirement income is over a certain amount.  The pension IS your money not the governemnt.  We need to pay 5% everytime we get our pay cheques and our employers also need to put in another 5% for us.  It is 10% of our income.  You can do a simple math.  Suppose you work 40 years and you get a pay cheque every two weeks.  You and your employer put in total $100.00  The interest rate is 4% for the whole 40 years and it compounds every quarter.  Do you know how much it will be at the end of 40 years?  Remember, the government do not give you the whole amount when you are 65 years old.  The government only give you a small amount each month and your money can still get interest.

如果人口多就解决了养老金问题,中国就好办了,还搞什么计划生育.人人都可以享受退休金了.

从道理上你说得很对。

不过，政府收了我们大家的CPP，不是为了帮我们存40年，再连本带利地还给我们，而是直接拿这钱发给现在需要养老金的老人。如果工作的人多，用养老金的人少，CPP有富余，政府可能会把多余的CPP挪用；反之，则要想办法多收钱了。
