楼主为苦于寻找口语学习材料的人们做了一件好事。

《走边美国》应用的是一种叫做“功能”的教学方法,就是说,将常用口语按照其在交际环境中所起的作用进行分类,比如将用来打招呼、道歉、提出疑问等等用处的句子,按类别放在一起,便于学生按交际需要来学习掌握。

这是英语交际教学法在实际教学中的一种应用。其好处之一是,学生可以象使用词典或其他分类工具书一样,在需要时,按类别寻找应该使用的句子来学。减少一些学习的随意性及无目的性。

任何一种口语教材都可以学口语,但是,没有哪一种教材可以教会你口语。

既然叫“口语”, 就意味着要动口。这个动口不是谈论什么教材好,什么句子漂亮,什么用语地道,而是-------说那些句子,用那些语词。

少评价,多练习。练多了,练会了,你自己就知道什么叫“两岸猿声啼不住”了。
