The problem with the current immigrant system is, the Canadian government 100% know the job market do need only 1 doctor, two engineers, three programmers, but
under the so-called point system, they attract 10 doctors,
100 engineers and 1000 programmers, how could so many
so-called professionals can find their jobs, not to mention the
new immigrants, even lots of born and raised Canadian
with thier local master and PHD degree, if they lack of industry
experience they can hardly find their first job either if not through the government-sponsored intern or co-op program. In ohter word, the Canada use some so-called skilled workers category to attract some educated people to fill in some 'kuli' job that lots of local peoples never want to fill in.
Don't expect the government can do anything for the new immigrants, everything in Canada is market-oriented, even
the Canadian government give every new immigrants a big
certificate for recognizing your oversea degree and experience, if there is no enough jobs there available, that will be no any sense.
The current immigration system is "totally broken", that the original word Ontario immigration minister said when CTV-W5
journalist interviewed him. (the detail check with www.notcanada.com), I think it is a failure system because it doesn't reflact the reality of the job market. |
