他说：当然！

我说好，只有一个原因：

因为我....没的选了，也少问政治，但我会看相
---别激动，我不是好色的那种看，男人，我看眼神，不是眼睛，还有鼻子，这很重要：


于是我说：
你看起来不错，起码你善良诚恳，目光不游离，还有，你敬畏神，你就有惧怕，不敢非为

昨晚我回复：
你是保守党，做事低调朴素，很符合中国古代哲人遗训，还有，我是一个基督徒，我比较偏向传统保守

我坚信你能当选，不辜负大家信任和恪守承诺，才会使选民不伤心，不选你的也会赞你

John很高兴，但话不多，告诉我他这个月60岁了，邀请大家去他家庆生，还说我可以带朋友去，时间就是这个星期三晚七点！

哪位想去玩玩，见识一下这位未来新市长，请给我信箱留言，咱们一起作伴去

其实我蛮喜欢胖福的，交朋友我会交胖福，率性江湖不浆糊(y)
但选市长，我会选ＪＯＨＮ，　虽然他看起来不那么有趣，呵呵

Coming Up On The Campaign Trail


On Tuesday May 27th John is making an important transportation policy announcement about his plan to get Toronto moving.

The following morning we are helping spread the word by handing out literature at subway stops in Toronto.

Please RSVP if you are able to spend 30-45 minutes of your time between 7:30AM and 9:00AM on Wednesday May 28th to get Toronto Moving.

May 28th is also John’s 60th birthday! We would love to have you join us for a night with friends, family, and supporters to celebrate. There will be a party at 7PM at the Hotel Novotel Toronto North York on May 28th. Please RSVP here!


Week In Review

John had another exciting week on the campaign trail. On Tuesday, he was invited to an OMNI news roundtable discussion where he spoke with reporters about his election platform and policies. The following day John attended the Italian Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards and celebrated the successes of local leaders in both the business world and their communities. John had a roundtable discussion on Thursday, where he spoke with Scarborough’s local leaders and business owners about his plan to lead a new innovation hub, helping to bring more jobs in Scarborough. On Friday, John attended the Casa dos A?ores Youth Conference.


The weekend wasn’t any less busy for John. Saturday kicked off with Bessborough Public School’s Mayfair Fundraiser, and to keep the school spirit alive, John then attended the William Burgess School Fair. Next on the list was a trip to one of the city’s most dog “Paws-itive” neighbourhoods, as Woodbine Park hosted Canada’s largest dog festival, Woofstock. To follow it up, John made his way down to Toronto’s Waterfront and took part in the fun at Gangways Open as part of the 15th Annual Doors Open Toronto. The night was later closed off at the Active Brain Centre Awards Ceremony.


Sunday the campaign trail proved to be a lot more literal for John, as he attended two charity walks. First up was the UJA’s Walk With Israel where participants proudly walked to declare their support for Israel and raised money for social welfare. The running shoes stayed on for John’s next event, where he celebrated the World Partnership Walk’s 30th anniversary of fighting global poverty and funding international development.

The response was fantastic – most people we spoke to were relieved and excited that there’s a plan to get Toronto moving again. Thursday was a busy day for John, when he also spoke at the Youth Day Toronto launch. On the 20th they will be hosting a free summer festival that culminates in more than 100 live music and dance performances (including an art gallery) where Toronto’s youth can show off their talents.

John had enough downtime on Friday to catch the Columbia versus Brazil game at the Lula Lounge in Little Portugal. John, Barb, and the volunteers had a bite to eat while they were cheering on their teams. John later went to the first of many Friday events held by the Black Business and Professional Association.

On Saturday, John went to the Care First Charity Walk for Health where he stepped and strolled in support. Care First is one of the groups that, over 35 years ago, took the initial steps to provide Meals on Wheels for seniors. He then went to the Taste of Lawrence where he warmed up the crowd and sampled some of the great food in the area. He had a wonderful time at AfroFest celebrating African culture and music. John wrapped up the night at an iftar dinner in support of the Muslim Chaplaincy at the University of Toronto.

On Sunday, we had another big canvassing blitz in North York. John fired up our volunteers and we all went out to knock on doors and talk to voters. John also went to the Downsview Park Merchant Market to support local merchants and had a great time celebrating vibrant music, delicious foods, and the arts at the Earl Bales Park Art and Music Festival. He talked to lots of people at the market about how he will be able to help small businesses as our next mayor.

It was a busy week but John loves going to events and meeting all sorts of people. He’s fired up and we are too!

“I skipped to work on the day I heard John Tory announced he was entering the race for Mayor. Thrilled is too small a word to describe my excitement. I was born and raised in Toronto and used to be proud to call this city my home. Recently, the pride has diminished with the increased taxes, scandals by the current Mayor and the wasteful spending of all our hard earned dollars by governments and elected officials. These days, the media announces a billion dollars are missing from government pockets or the Mayor was caught swearing, drinking or taking drugs and we all shrug our shoulders and figure what can we do. Likely, we can do something come Election Day. I would be proud to have John Tory represent this fine City and show the international and local officials how it should be done. Classy, honest, intelligent leadership while running Toronto like a business – cutting waste and rewarding hard work! That’s what I look forward to… that’s what Toronto needs!”

蛮高兴，一切如料，庄先生的民望认知度已经领先第一，我觉得甚至会遥遥领先

因为，如果福特市长那边有何情况，他的选民，多半就跑到庄这里来了——因为他们两个人的施政纲领非常接近
