填空题是中国考生比较熟悉的一种题型，因为很多学生的英语学习过程中都经历过一种经典题型：完形填空。但是，需要再一次强调的是，GRE考试的Text Completion题目考察的重点依然在于逻辑分析能力上，因此所有依据都是来自于题干给出的信息，不能借助于文章以外的信息或者是主观判断。

填空题一般题目为一个长达1-5个句子的段落，有1-3个空格。每个空白如果是单词的话，有三个答案选择；如果是句子的话，则为5个选择。想要在填空题中取得高分，除了文章理解和推理能力，扎实的语法和丰富的词汇量也是必要的。

3、句子对等

句子对等题目其实是在变相地考察我们的GRE词汇量。通句子对等题要求考生在6个选项中选择2个填入题干的空格中，并且使句子的含义基本保持一致。考生应确保选择的两个答案能够让句子在逻辑上、语法上、风格上和语义上都保持一致。跟填空题相比，上下文的信息量大大减少，因此对词汇量要求变高，需要大量练习。

这对考生从题干信息出发做出逻辑推理的能力和语言能力(准确掌握复杂的词义、正确的语法规则)都有要求。官方说明如下：When you have selected your pair of answer choices, check to make sure that each one produces a sentence that is logically, grammatically and stylistically coherent, and that the two sentences mean the same thing.
