if you knew that my biggest concern about all of this was affecting my parents lives due to outdated chinese values, why would you go out of your way to post this on a chinese news site?
furthermore, you got several facts in your post wrong. please correct them immediately.
1. no one ever alleged that i tried to take other lawyers' clients. that is inaccurate and formed no part of the proceedings against me.
2. it was never found by the panel that i posted any 'private' information on twitter, and certainly not from the LSO's website. the crown tried to get me to stop writing about our client - who had consented to us posting about this - getting beat up by a police officer and then charged with assaulting the police officer himself. the law society panel did not find i did anything wrong when i did this.
3. i was never fired because i wore revealing clothes: https://www.thestar.com/opinion/star-columnists/2018/12/16/a-litany-of-splitting-hairs-over-the-position-of-an-escort.html
as i told rosie dimanno, which you can see in the link above, i was fired immediately after someone told my boss i had tweeted months earlier that my boss didn't know what a PDF file was. the clothing issue was never raised to me.
if you're going to write about me, at least get someone who can understand and translate english properly.
if anyone is actually interested in my side of the events here: https://nadiaguo.tumblr.com/post/183817834463/reflections-on-my-law-society-of-ontario
i'll be licensed as a lawyer in june and if anyone from the chinese community is looking for a defence lawyer who WILL fight for your rights and for justice, you can look me up.
