As people that have had generations of working people here in Ontario. I struggle with the fact that for over 150 years, we've paid into a system to take care of us... and others. But the funds are only going so bloody far. How can we possibly take care of all of these new people (who have NOT paid into our system for 75+ years) and expect to survive? As it was, our social services and medical was stretched to the bone...
If your only making $50.00 a week to take care of your family, and just getting by... Do you ask more people to move in?? I have nothing against people wanting better lives. I have a huge axe to grind over the fact we can't afford to do it.
