加拿大人居美国真的一年不能超120天？

另外，182天是由表格8840确认的，那么，这个120天又是什么法律规定的呢？

主要是税务问题。

美国的税务法规定在最近3年在美国居住的天数，分年乘一个权重系数，累计超过183天就要按照美国居民报税。
也就是说当年在美国居住的实际天数，前年的1/3和大前年的1/6加起来。

这样，如果每年都在美国呆120多天，加起来就是180多天，基本上就到了按照美国居民报税的程度了。这对于一般人差别不大，对于有钱人来说还是个麻烦。美国的税总体比加拿大低，但是对于特定收入结构的人而言，可能还要补交不少税。
