Out of topic. You want to talk about the women in Canada, not man, and their jobs!
In Canada, everybody looks like equal in the human rights or ethical issue, but does this true? Whenever, how many countries you have been lived in, you have to learn / understand their ethics. All of you talk about is part of Canadian ethics.

虽然谈得是女性的生活，但足可以举一反三，触类旁通笼统地俯视这个社会。很客观，直接。结尾的那段主题鲜明，让人联想。

写得比较客观中肯，是篇好文。只是中文可能有些生疏了，该用“地”的地方，很多用“的”：因此他们没有那么“心急火燎”的/地企盼孩子“成龙”“成凤”，也没那么功利的/地急着给孩子“指明”人生之路，更没有那种“焦虑不安”的/地将自己孩子与他人“攀来比去”的无奈心理。
