If you have a complaint about your pay, hours of work, overtime, vacation or holiday entitlements, termination or severance pay, and you are not represented by a trade union, you should call the Ministry of Labour Employment Standards Call Centre at 1-800-531-5551. You can also get information on these topics from the Ministry's website: www.labour.gov.on.ca
If you are a low income individual You may qualify for legal aid
You must visit a local community clinic in person to determine if you qualify.
Community legal clinics may be able to assist with matters related to:

Welfare and Ontario Works
Ontario Disability Support Program
Government Pensions
Workplace Safety and Insurance
Employment Insurance
Criminal Injuries Compensation
Human Rights
Employment Rights
Community legal clinics do not charge legal fees, but may ask clients who are able to pay some or all of the expenses of a case, such as court filing fees and medical expenses. |
