1.      We’ve all been in situations where the causes of problems were unknown. Can you tell us about a time like this, what you did about it, and what was the result?

Judgment/Problem Solving




1.      Describe an occasion when you decided to involve others in making a decision.  (Why did you do so?  To what extent did you use their inputs?)








2.      Describe a problem you’ve recently been asked to solve.  (What did you do?  What alternatives did you consider?)








3.      Describe a time when you weighed the pros and cons of a situation and decided not to take action, even though you were under pressure to do so.








Teamwork/Collaboration




1.      Tell me about a specific time in your past when you worked in a team and were given a challenge and you team responded.
















2.      Have you ever had any difficulty getting along with peers/team members/others at work?  (Tell me about a specific time this happened.  How did you handle the situation?)








3.      Tell me about a situation in which a team ember strongly disagreed with you ideas or actions. How did you handle it and what was the result?




















Practical Learning




1.      We’ve all had the experience of not fully understanding everything about a new product, service or procedure, even after attending a training session.  Can you tell me about a time this happened to you, and what did you do it solve it?








2.      Have you ever had to learn something new in your job in a short period of time? How did you go about doing that and how successful were you?








Safety Awareness




1.      In your job at                                did you ever notice any process or task that was performed unsafely (unsafe machinery/equipment/worker)?  (Give me an example.  How did you notice it?  What did you do?)








2.      Describe a time you had to confront someone who violated a safety or security regulation.








3.      Tell me about when you’re taken actions to improve the safety at your work.








Quality Orientation/Attention To Detail




1.      Can you tell me about a project or job where you were accountable for the quality of the product? What did you do to ensure top quality?








Initiative




1.      Describe a situation in which you saw a problem and took action to correct it rather than wait for someone else to do so.








2.      What has been your biggest achievement at ________________________, what steps did you take to achieve it, and what was the result?








Adaptability








1. Tell me about a specific time in your past when you faced with a dramatic change, or you had to learn something new, and how you adopted.






Communication
Expressing ideas effectively in individual and group situations (including nonverbal communication);  adjusting language or terminology to the characteristics and needs of the audience.
