Monday March 5th, 2012Subways Panel - A FREE Event

The Toronto Taxpayers Coalition has heard your requests and we have worked to make it a reality!  This Thursday evening, we are hosting a panel discussion on transit at the Scarborough Civic Centre!  This free event will run from 7:00pm - 9:30pm and will allow you an opportunity to ask questions of our distinguished panel:

• Dr. Gordon Chong, author of the Sheppard Subway Report
• James Alcock, transportation planner, and architect of Mayor Ford's transit platform
• John Morand, former City Manager, City of Toronto
• ...And more to be announced!

We will have more information for you shortly, including information on how to RSVP!

Subways Vote on TUESDAY!

On Tuesday March 6th, your MPP will be voting on a motion in the provincial legislature regarding the building of subways or LRTs.  We will be submitting our petition to the legislature and we will be watching this vote closely.

If you haven't already signed our petition, what are you waiting for?

If you have signed it, now is the time to contact your MPP and tell them you expect the $8.4 billion earmarked for Toronto transit to be spent on subways!

If you don't know who your MPP is, you can find that out too!

Your support is more important now than ever before. City council had their say.  The mayor had his say.  Before the province decides how the funds are spent, you need to have your say, too!
