Don't be emotional. The thing is if China's military gets too powerful, then its neighbors would feel threatened, and the US can no longer stop Japan, South Korea and many other Asian countries from developing their own nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destructions to counter the threat. In the end, all countries in the region will have to spend a lot more on their militaries and also feel less secure.
