support motion 291
I copied and modified the letter from 51.ca, here is my email letter to MP in markham
Dear Mr. McCallum,
My name is Charlie XXXX, a residence in Markahm, Ontario, I am writing to request your support of the Motion 291, which was issued in the House of Commons by MP Olivia Chow.
The Motion urges Japan's Prime Minister and Parliament to formally apologize and appropriately compensate the so-called "Comfort Women" of Japan. There were about two hundred thousand women from China, Korea, the Philippines and other countries were coerced into military sexual slavery by Japanese Imperial Army during the World War II. This was one of the most heinous offences of women's human rights in 20th century and it has been documented beyond dispute Indignantly, however, Japanese government refuses to formally acknowledge the crime and provide proper compensation to the victims.
I strongly believe most of the residents in your riding will say "YES" to the Motion 291. As our representative in Parliament, please do whatever you can to reflect our concern by supporting this motion.
Sincerely yours,
Charlie XXXX |
