Why would a liberal support a regime that oppresses and imprisons its people? That is contrary to what liberalism is all about. North Korea is afascist regime and cannot be labeled as communist or socialist which is what most conservatives label liberals as.

I don't believe the far left supports North Korea. I believe (as was again proven in this comments section) that some leftists just don't like to criticize oppressive nations like North Korea that have poor relations with America. They prefer to deflect the criticism over to America because whining about the US ad nauseam is the foundation of their entire politicalideology.

I'm a liberal and I despise North Korea. Many of us liberals are for treating people with respect as long as they are not breaking the moral code that we all should be living by: Golden Rule, 10 Commandments, Christ's Beatitudes, call it what you will it is what keeps the "humans" separate from the "animals" of our species. And in North Korea, the animals are in charge.
