1) All contries require people to show sufficient idendifications to prove who you are. You CANNOT prove who you are yourself. You have to prove who you are by someone or sone organization. When this requirement comes from the Chinese government, you started to complain. Did you complain that when you apply Canadian PR card, or passport you have to ask a doctor, or a layer or PE to sign your documents?
We are NOT complaining that we need to prove our identities to the chinese government. As you already mentioned, we do that on a daily base: we provide health cards when going to hospital/seeing our family doctors; we show our driver license to the police when asked; we provide passport when entering other countries, etc, etc,. We have no problem with proving ourselves who we are, what we complain/concern is that we are treated differently by the Chinese government because of our race. Can you tell me why a Canadian passport is NOT enough prove for chinese Canadians but other Canadians? I guess not. It's a question to the chinese government, why the hell a Chinese Canadian is required to provided extra documents?
I would say the way the Chinese consulate does things can improve. But I would also like to say we Chinese should also be more understanding with the Chinese regulations.
The Chinese visa regulation is a discrimination based on race, it's called racism. And why would Chinese be MORE understanding with that stupid regulations? |
