在加拿大，私家露天游泳池，就象聋子的耳朵，纯属摆设。一年也就7，8二月能用一用，其它绝大多数时间用不上。你没看见很多有游泳池的华人家庭要把游泳池填了，带游泳池的HOUSE要降价出售。

家用游泳池就那么大，扑通两下就到对岸，充其量泡泡水而已，根本谈不上有运动量，真不知道你这20磅的肥膘是怎么减下来的。

1. 其实很多有加热功能，春秋也可以用的。
2. 带游泳池的HOUSE是不会降价出售的，最多不多挣。降价出售的HOUSE也不会因为有游泳池。

一般有50多尺长，20米也够了。

It's nice to have the swimming pool in the backyard. However it takes lots of effort to maintain, it is not cheap.

For example, we spent about $500 on chemical to balance the water when we got the house. The water filter has to be on 24/7 because our pool has 75,000L. Every week we have to vaccum the pool, back wash and adding more chemical. After back wash, we will need to add water back in. Every rainning day, we have to add the chemical.

However we like to have a swimming pool, it's always nice to know it's there for us. Whether it is worth the time and effort, I don't know. We only use the few times this summer.

真是瞎扯，草地并不需要天天浇水。一个星期一次就够了。如果连续一段时间每星期下一次雨的话，这段时间都可以不浇水。更详细的信息可查看多伦多政府网页http://www.toronto.ca/watereff/tips/lawn.htm

感觉51转载的来自地产周刊的文章大多有误导嫌疑，望赵兄能在转载前多花点工夫把把关，以免误导第一次买House的人。

1.整个文章都不错.就那一句"华人搬来.洋人就迁走"太扯蛋了.你的存在使左右邻居都搬走了吗?再说,搬家很正常,没人搬走怎么会有人搬来呢?你的自卑感可太强了.我的第一个房子在白人社区,后来也卖给了白人,难道可以说我是厌恶人家白人才搬走的吗?

1.第二次买房时,经纪一再宣传别买带游泳池的房子,朋友也都劝我别买,最终没买.不知为何.

1.加热?不会开玩笑吧?户外一池水加热一度要多少电?加热10度呢?要花大笔钱加热游泳池,那更没人买带游泳池的HOUSE了.
2. 我亲戚出售带游泳池的HOUSE,买家就说要么降价,要么把池填了.最后没法只好降价. 我邻居有个游泳池,但不是用来游泳的,而是填上土种菜.邻居说要维护游泳池太花费了.养不起.

多伦多很多运动中心有免费的游泳池终年开放,很多中学的游泳池也在暑假免费开放的.从经济上考虑,家庭游泳池确实没什么需要.

1. there are ways to heat the pool; some are heated with renewable enegy.

2. each individual house has different situation/condition. generally speaking, pool doesn't downgrade the house value on the market.

3. a private pool is a luxury attachment. just like any luxury items, not everyone has the ability to enjoy. so once you are enjoying it, you should be very proud of it.

4. by the way, i don't have the pool

what is the renewable enegy?

Each year, homeshow has the demo. Even with the electricity, the cost won't exceed a thousand or two a year.
