I believe most of the news here are copies from the Chinese newspaper in Vancouver or Toronto. For the older Chinese immigrants, the Chinese translation for the English name of person and address may sound more easier to use. However, for most of the new immigrants from mainland China, we use Mandarin and have a better ability to use English. The Chinese translation cause many confusion.

Why we take time to do the translation!!!!!!!!!!! No more.

I am proud of my mother tongue. I believe that Chinese is so powerful and concise that every foreign word can be translated into Chinese. However, it's unnecessary to do that.

It's because that the translations are based on Cantongnese not Mandarin.

I believe most of the readers of this website have a good knowledge of English. Many of us feel sick for the translation of these English name for people and Address. Please use the original English names. The mayor of Toronto is called 苗大伟, Markham is called 万锦市. It’s very confusing and inconvenient.
