请不要忘了，大选后政府为稳定金融市场，向银行业注入25 billion。这些钱不是在预算内的。另外金融市场的恶化没有人可以准确预见究竟会有多深。

11月时，联邦政府要买40 billion 的insured mortgages。这些钱当然不是天上掉下来的。

保守党需要澄清是否在10月的联邦大选期间涉嫌故意掩盖事实，不让加拿大人知道"经济衰退"的事实，以利于选举。

哈珀曾经在10月份的联邦大选中说过，加拿大不可能有经济衰退，也不会有赤字。

哈珀曾经表示谈论加国的赤字问题简直是愚蠢的和不切实际的，但就在这个周末，他已经说了赤字基本上不可避免了。根据保守党自己的估计，明年加国将有39亿元的赤字，后年则将有14亿元的赤字发生。

Jobs at standstill in September, new report says

OTTAWA — A new Statistics Canada report indicates the labour market was at a standstill in September, in stark contrast to an earlier survey that showed more than 100,000 jobs were created.

Statistics Canada said previously, in its widely watched Labour Force Survey, that employment increased by 107,000 jobs in September. The report gave economists reason to hold out hope for the Canadian economy as the world slipped into recession, and also gave Conservative Leader Stephen Harper much ammunition during his recent campaign for re-election.

But now, a more thorough survey of employers indicates payrolls didn't change in September.

The payroll employment, earnings and hours survey released Friday shows declines in employment in manufacturing, transportation and warehousing, finance and insurance, real estate and leasing, administrative support, educational services, arts and entertainment, accommodation and food services and other types of services.

The only sector with a big increase was mining and oil and gas extraction.

The payroll survey is not watched as closely as the Labour Force Survey because the data is considered old by the time it is released two months later. But many economists consider it to be a more accurate picture of the job market.

Statscan analyst Peter Lorenz, who works on the payroll survey, won't say which survey he believes for September. But he points out that the two surveys do diverge on a month to month basis sometimes, but tend to converge over the long run.

He also notes that total employment levels (excluding self-employed people that are counted in the Labour Force Survey, but not the payroll survey) in both reports are similar.

Still, the payroll survey has only reported no growth on the month twice in the past year, he adds.

保守党也是很很很很很很不要脸的！

保守党需要澄清是否在10月的联邦大选期间涉嫌故意掩盖事实，不让加拿大人知道"经济衰退"的事实，以利于选举。
