Why can't we buy it here?
In 90s, we asked the same question why we could not buy a Mitsubishi in Canada?
Mitsubishi was sold under the name of Chrysler. I had a Dodge 2000, which in fact was a Mitsubishi Galant.
The answer is a business and marketing decision.
