该类别的申请人仍按照2013年的标准被评估，主要体现在六大方面：教育、工作经验、语言能力、年龄、是否有加拿大雇主雇佣、在加拿大的适应能力。所有申请人必须满足最低的语言要求——雅思G类听说读写6分。
