NEW DELHI: UC Browser, an app available for all major mobile platforms including Nokia Symbian and Android phones, has become the top mobile browser in India. According to latest data from StatsCounter, the browser developed by UCWeb, a Chinese firm, powered 29.9% of total internet traffic coming from mobile phones in India in July.The latest figures are likely to ring alarm bells within India's security establishment. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) officials are reportedly wary of growing use of Chinese IT services andproducts in India. The browser features a modern and easy-to-use interface as well as features like caching of videos for offline view. This helps users who have slower data connection in their phones.
