我非常喜欢无花果，听说在多伦多有人种，谁知道从哪能买到树苗？ 多谢了。

去年，我在洋人的苗圃和华人的店里都看见过. 建议你去Sheridan或者Terra这些连锁店看看。

好象无花果是南方的植物，在这冰天雪地的地方见的可不多。

看看谁能种出来。

    If you can get Chicago fig plant, or black mission fig plant, those are cold hardy, they might survive in Toronto climate, I went to one nursery yesterday, they only got the indoor type, the Italian fig tree, kind of disappointing.

I saw a lot of such a fig tree in the south.And this is a message I can get about how to care fig trees in cold area:

Fig trees are semi-tropical in origin. They thrive in areas where winter temperatures do not drop below 15°F (-10°C). Very young trees can be damaged by fall frosts when the temperature falls below 25°F (-4°C). Fig trees will grow in a variety of soils ranging from sandy loams to clay loams.

I guess in Toronto, the Winter outdoor temperature might be lower than -10°C.Therefore, it is not easy to keep them alive.Anyway, it might be a good try if anyone wants to grow such a fig tree.I will be certainly very glad to see it grow successfully here.

Second thought，this plant can live in a big pot.

Maybe we can try this way:move it to indoor during the Winter......

    Winterize the plant before winter might help if get the right type of the plant. I heard people have planted fig trees in their back yard in Toronto area, they must have gotten the Chicago fig trees.

今年花圃的花买得早，我上周末到Lona 和 HomeDepo都看见有大量的新花上市。

可我没对这种树太留心，要是有人种过这种植物能活的话，这东西叶挺大的，又能长果，够绿色的了，应该有卖。

我去年在Mississauga Chinatown里见过,一人多高的树,在一个大花盆里卖,价格好像还不贵. 后来在苗圃里也见过,但记不起来是哪里了.

我周围有几家意大利朋友都有种，好大的树，每年都有果子收获，有时间我帮你问问。
