Any app for BlackBerry Storm? Keyboard is not user friendly.

If you check the internet, you'll find that lots of BlackBerry applications are there already to solve these problems. For the specific issues you mentioned, looks like PhoneBasics from http://www.ottafone.com/ already has a decent solution.
