Full time job is not defined by hours you work every week, but rather by a contract that you signed with your employer. There is usually following content in the contract:
1. Your postion, for example, Machine Operator, General Labouror, Production manager, etc.
2. Your hourly rate, say, $18/hour, or salary, say, $50,000/year.
3. Your responsibility, your superior, and/or your subordinates.
4. You usually have all kinds of benefits, for example, glasses, dental and medicine reimbursement.
If you don't sign a contract with your employer about anything above, you probably are a part time employee, and they can let you go at any time without explanation.
Full time job is usually paid higher than part time job. This is why many employers would rather hire part time job employees.
