“卡彭特兄妹”是来自美国康涅狄格州纽黑文市的一支兄妹二重唱组合。哥哥理查德（Richard Carpenter,生于1946年10月15日，健盘手兼歌手）和妹妹卡伦（Karen Carpenter，生于1950年3月2日，歌手兼鼓手）。60年代末他们迁往加利福尼亚州在一个名叫“光谱”（Spectrum）的6人演唱组中一起演唱，70年代，该演唱组推出了多首风靡世界的单曲和唱片其中包括《与爱情告别》（Goodbye to Love,1972）和《世界之巅》（Top of the World,1973）等。1971年为影片《情人和别的陌生人》主唱的《我们所知道的一切》获得了第四十三届奥斯卡最佳电影歌曲奖。1975年因精神和身体过度劳累而病倒，从此一蹶不振，演唱远不如往日成功。1981至1982年曾患厌食症，痊愈后决定重返歌坛。但不幸于1983年2月死于心肌梗塞，终年仅三十二岁。

我刚贴出来才发现居士自己已经找到了。我就删了我这个。 :) 除了"Top Of The World"最早还在学校里是通过当时流行的各种舞曲知道的, 听到此歌是后来的事...但其它的象" Yesterday Once More", "SING THE SONG" 还有"Jambalaya"当是都是通过当年红极一时的歌星成方圆演唱推出的...代表了那时代流行歌曲中的很主要的几首英语歌曲...我那段时间最喜欢"Yesterday Once More",那时每当听到唱到:
